KISS by TED DEKkER & ERIN HEALY

KISS, the new novel by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy is a mixture of mystery, suspense and romance. I wasn’t really sure I wanted to read it. I’ve read most of Ted Dekker’s books and thought, “How could this woman add anything to his writing?? Is it really worth it?” The answer is a resounding YES!!

Shauna wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by her boyfriend, her uncle and her very abusive step-mother. She can’t remember her boyfriend and she doesn’t remember what happened or understand why she is in the hospital. She’s been accused of causing a car accident that nearly killed her and left her brother in a vegetative state—but she can’t believe she’s guilty!

Her memory is hazy… she can’t remember the last 6 months or so of her life and she’s not sure who she can trust. Shauna knows that she is on a medicine trial for experimental drugs, but isn’t sure what these drugs are for—are they the cause of her amazing recovery or the cause of her memory loss? She must decide whether her past is worth uncovering and possibly dying for or if she should just move on and start a new future.

The plot is filled with politics, questionable business deals, deceit, murder and an unexplainable gift of reading other’s memories… It keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more!

Two thumbs up for Kiss!!
