The Confidential Life of Eugenia Cooper by Kathleen Y'Barbo

The Confidential Life of Eugenia Cooper is a wonderfully humorous and romantic book by Kathleen Y’Barbo. The Confidential Life is about a young debutante woman who is desperate want of an adventure, preferably a Wild West Adventure like those had by her favorite dime novel heroine, Mae Winslow.

Y’Barbo does a wonderful job portraying this adventure of Gennie’s and the tough choices she has to make along the way. It s a fun, fast-moving story about how Gennie’s dream comes true and how love finds Gennie and she seems to find herself. Y'Barbo does an interesting thing of starting each chapter with a segment from the "latest" Mae Winslow dime novel. This allows the reader to get more in the mind of Gennie. The Confidential Life is not overly “Christian,” but God is a theme throughout. It is a clean and easy read for someone looking to relax for a bit. I honestly could not put it down!!
