Deep Harbor by Lisa Tawn Bergren is an amazing book of friendship, love, loss, recovery, repentance and a fresh start!
Tora, Elsa, Kaatje and Karl have all come to America to begin new lives. Each one is different and yet they are all woven together. Tora's deceptions cost her the man she loves and the future she holds dear. Elsa loses someone she doesn't think she can make it without. Kaatje is feeling the call to an unknown land. Karl must repent and seek forgiveness. Only by their faith in God can each one move forward past their troubled times.
This is the second book in The Northern Lights Series. I haven't read the first one, but not look forward to going back and reading where these stories begin. The characters are endearing... the stories are familiar, but not so much that they are tiring.
