This is a book written for teens by twin brothers Alex & Brett Harris, younger brothers of Josh Harris (of I Kissed Dating Goodbye fame). They wrote Do Hard Things, the precursor to Start Here when they were only 18 years old, as a challenge to Christian youth of today to rise above the status quo... do something more, do something different, do something H-A-R-D!
In Start Here, they give guidelines and ideas of how and where to start (hint: right where you are!). They also share stories of those who have started to do the hard things. Some of the stories are AMAZING and some are so every day, that you might wonder if it was really hard... I guess that is between God and the one he's challenged.
I found the book to be inspiring, not just for those that are young and in Christ, but for those who have a passion to do and be more than just a Sunday Christian! I am hoping to share this book (and possibly Do Hard Things) with the youth workers and with my own kids... I want to be one of those that does the hard things and brings glory to God!
