The Harvest of Grace is the third of the Ada's House book series. Here we see a completion of the stories that began in The Hope of Refuge and The Bridge of Peace. Cindy Woodsmall did a wonderful job!! Even though it is the third book in the series, it is easily a stand-alone book as well.
Sylvia Fisher is different from other Old Order Amish women, instead of focusing on marriage, babies and running a home, she is more interested in working and running her family's dairy farm and seeing it prosper. After she is betrayed by her beau and then faces a temptation she can't withstand, she chooses to leave her family farm and focus on helping another family whose farm is struggling.
Aaron Blank disappeared from his family's farm one year ago after the death of his sister. His guilt and need to get sober kept him away, but now it's time to go home. Can he get his parent's forgiveness? Can he get them to agree to sell the farm that is too much for them to take care of and move to town with him?
There are some twists and turns in this book that I wasn't really expecting. Besides Aaron and Sylvia, we revisit Cara and Lori and Ephram, Lena and Grey, Ada and Israel in The Harvest of Grace.... and with each story, we see the grace of God just overflow.
