About Cowgirls N' Angels:
Cowgirls N' Angels is a heartwarming movie that tells the story of Ida, a feisty and rebellious young girl, who has dreams of finding her father, a rodeo rider. While searching for her dad, she connects with the Sweethearts of the Rodeo, a team of young female rodeo riders run by former rodeo star Terence Parker. Recognizing Ida's innate talent for trick riding, Terence recruits her for their ranks. Accepted wholeheartedly by her new "family," Ida finds a new passion that redefines her life, and may also help her find the father she's been searching for.
My Review:
This movie was a sweet family-type movie. I think all ages would enjoy it, but especially the 7-12 age group. I believe Ida is around 12 years old. She is on her own during the summer while her mom works and she finds trouble where ever she can. She is actually on a search for her father, who she has never met but know his first name and that he was part of the rodeo. I felt like, more than searching for her father, she was on a search for who she is and in the end, she finds who she is and realizes that she has taken her mom for granted as well. I am so glad the movie ended the way it did. I disliked her relationship with her mom in the beginning of the movie. Fortunately, by the end of the movie both mom and daughter have had a change of heart and find a common ground.
This movie is clean, fun and relates to us all, whether you are a cowgirl/boy, angel or neither. :) Here's a little preview for you:
May 25th is opening day, take your family out for an evening of good clean fun!
