About the Book:

Cowboys are just trouble... they flirt, make you fall for them and when you really need them they leave you!  Annie Wilkerson had been taught that lesson by more than one cowboy.  She didn't have time for that... she's just too busy trying to keep herself financially afloat with two jobs - horse trainer/column writer, push her sister to complete her college degree and make sure her nephew is taken care of... she doesn't need a cowboy to smooth-talk his way into her life! Besides, she has John.  Dutifully employed at the bank, stable and consistent John.  Who needs more?
Dylan Taylor is a smooth-talking, ladies' man of a cowboy, or so it would seem.  Dylan is very attracted to Annie, but he's not ready to fall in love again.   The last "love of his life" about ripped his heart up, so he built a high wall around it.  He dates, but doesn't get close enough to get hurt.  When his horse, Braveheart, is in need of a horse trainer to deal with a physical issue, Dylan has to strike a deal with Annie for help.

Will they be able to work together for both of their benefit or will the attraction they feel get in the way?  Can they forgive and forget the transgressors in their past to move on to what God has in their future?

My Review:

While the ending of The Trouble with Cowboys is a little predictable, I would say the beginning sets the stage and the middle is anything but predictable.  There are many twists and turns throughout.  The romance is sweet, but pure and the interaction is true to life.  Both Dylan and Annie deal with stereo-types and forgiveness and learning to trust again.  I loved the book and really didn't want it to end. This is the third book in the A Big Sky Romance series, but it is not necessary to read the first two to understand this one.  Although, I would recommend you read those two (Cowboy's Touch and The Accidental Bride) as well... yes, they are that good!!

About the Author:
Denise lives in Indiana with her husband Kevin and their three sons. In 1996, Denise began her first book, a Christian romance novel, writing while her children napped. Two years later it was published, and she’s been writing ever since. Her books often contain a strong romantic element, and her husband Kevin says he provides all her romantic material, but Denise insists a good imagination helps too!
