Hear Me by Kyle Sherman, A CD: a Review and a GIVEAWAY!!

Hear Me by Kyle Sherman

My Review:

I received this CD to review and as always, I was a little leary. You just never really know what the music is going to sound like or if you are going to hate it.. so with a little trepidation I popped the CD into the player and listened.  I was so relieved to hear Kyle's soulful, husky voice flowing through my speakers with such beautiful lyrics and touching melodies!!  Somewhere between country and rock, Kyle's found a place that is so enjoyable and pleasing to the ears.  The words he has written just make his music that much better.

"Altogether, worshipful music that stylistically fits within the environment of a
downtown  bar room as much as it does a suburban mega-church."

His music doesn't just hit one type of listener... it's there for all generations and all genres, but especially those who enjoy either country or light rock stylings.  Not all of the songs are the same paced, but all of the songs have deep meaning and reach out to worship the One true GOD.

If you are interested, please check out his website.  I have shared a video of an acoustic version of one of his songs at the end of this blog, but on the main page of his website you can hear a snippet of each song on the album.  Give it a listen, you may just love it! :)

Album Bio:

Fort Worth-based singer-songwriter Kyle Sherman recently signed on as the flagship artist to brand new label RayLynn Records, an opportunity that presented itself during a time period when a record deal wasn't even on his radar.

"It's crazy how God works," Kyle says. 'Five years ago, I pushed pretty hard to do my own thing as a singer-songwriter, but every well I approached would dry up. It clearly wasn't the right time." So Kyle continued on a path of leading worship, taking a full-time role as worship leader at Fort Worth campus under the leadership of renowned pastor/author Craig Groeschel.

Just 3-years later Kyle made it back to Nashville, pouring his heart into a microphone at Sony studio with veteran producer and country singer-songwriter Mark Collie making his first album. God is faithful. Hear Me, the result of those sessions, is an eclectic and authentic mix of rootsy, southern soul.
