Hey God, I've Got Some Guy Named Jonah In My Stomach and I Think I'm Going To Throw Up by Troy Schmidt

You've heard of Jonah and the whale... you've heard Jonah's side of the story, well, here is the whale's side of the story.  This funny, imaginative look at what it was like to have Jonah inside him is fun for many ages.  As the whale tells his side of the story about disobeying God and learning from his own mistakes, as well as, learning from Jonah's mistakes, we learn that it is important to do the right thing no matter what.  Dr. Crab can't help the whale and the other whales can't help, they just make fun, but God says "trust me."  In the end, it all works out for both Jonah and the whale and they both learn to obey God the first time.

What a cute way to tell the story of Jonah!!  Kids of all ages will enjoy this book, but it is geared towards children ages 4-8.   I have one child in that age range and as I read the book she giggled and laughed.  The pictures are well done -- very bright and attention-grabbing. Also, at the end of the book is a "Parent Connection" that includes a Bible Memory verse, a synopsis about Jonah, questions to think about/discuss and fun things to do to "Experience being in a whale's belly."

This would make a great addition to your library, your grandchildren's library, the church library or a Sunday School room.
