secrets by Robin Jones Gunn

Written by the author of the Sisterchick books, Secrets is not what I expected from Robin Jones Gunn. It was even better!!
Jessica Morgan thought that she could just drop out of her life and start a new one... the secrets she held would remain hers and hers alone, but that's not how her new life began. On the road to her new life, Jessica is in an accident and meets a dreamy guy...but will her secrets keep them apart? Kyle knows about secrets and shares a secret with Jessica: "The longer you carry [secrets], the heavier they become."
When her secrets come calling, can she put them in God's hands and make things right?
This was a really good book. It wasn't "funny" as much as the Sisterchick books are, but it makes an impact in a real way.

Deep Harbor By Lisa Tawn Bergren

Deep Harbor by Lisa Tawn Bergren is an amazing book of friendship, love, loss, recovery, repentance and a fresh start!

Tora, Elsa, Kaatje and Karl have all come to America to begin new lives. Each one is different and yet they are all woven together. Tora's deceptions cost her the man she loves and the future she holds dear. Elsa loses someone she doesn't think she can make it without. Kaatje is feeling the call to an unknown land. Karl must repent and seek forgiveness. Only by their faith in God can each one move forward past their troubled times.

This is the second book in The Northern Lights Series. I haven't read the first one, but not look forward to going back and reading where these stories begin. The characters are endearing... the stories are familiar, but not so much that they are tiring.
